Privacy Policy for Orbit Guardian
Effective date: October 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Orbit Guardian ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, why, and the choices you have. Developed and published by IYGroup, Orbit Guardian is an arcade planetary defense game available on iOS for iPhone and iPad.
We built the game so that it works without an account and keeps your progress on your device. By downloading or playing Orbit Guardian, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Summary
- No account and no sign-up: We don't ask for your name, email, phone number, or address.
- Your progress stays on your device: Scores, rank, Stardust, unlocked items, missions, and settings are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad.
- Trusted services: We use a few trusted services to show ads, understand how the game is played, and fix crashes: Google AdMob, Google Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Apple Game Center. These services may collect limited device and usage information as described below.
- We don't sell your personal information.
- No cross-app tracking: We don't track you across other companies' apps and websites. The app doesn't request Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The game saves the following locally (in the app's own secure sandbox storage on your device) so it can remember your progress:
- High scores, records per mission, flights flown, and comets deflected
- Pilot rank, XP, Stardust balance, and daily login streak
- Unlocked and equipped Hangar items (planets, comets, shields, trails)
- Daily contracts, login-calendar progress, and commendations
- Settings (sound, haptics) and whether you finished the first-flight tutorial
This information is not sent to our servers. Deleting the app removes this locally stored progress.
3. Information Collected by Third-Party Services
3.1 Advertising: Google AdMob
Orbit Guardian is free and supported by ads (banner, interstitial, rewarded, and app-open ads). To deliver ads, limit how often they appear, measure performance, and prevent fraud, Google AdMob may collect:
- Device and app information (device model, operating-system version, app version, language)
- IP address and the coarse location it implies (for example, country or region)
- Ad interactions (impressions, taps, completed rewarded videos)
- An app-scoped identifier (Identifier for Vendor / IDFV). Because the app doesn't request tracking permission, the advertising identifier (IDFA) is not made available to AdMob.
Rewarded ads are always optional. You choose when to watch one in exchange for an in-game reward.

3.2 Gameplay Analytics: Google Firebase Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the game is played so we can improve balance and design. It records gameplay events such as:
- App launches, tutorial completion, and screens viewed
- Mission started and finished, score, deflects, XP, and Stardust earned
- Rank-ups, daily-contract completion, and login streaks
- Hangar items unlocked or equipped
- Rewarded ads watched and revives used
Firebase also collects technical information such as device model, OS version, app version, an app-instance identifier, and coarse location derived from IP address. This data is used in aggregate; we don't use it to identify you personally.

3.3 Crash Reporting: Firebase Crashlytics
If the app crashes, Crashlytics sends a crash report so we can fix the problem. Reports include the crash stack trace, device model, OS version, app version, the device's state at the time of the crash, and a Crashlytics installation identifier.
3.4 Leaderboards: Apple Game Center
If you're signed in to Game Center, the app shows your Game Center name and submits your high score to the Orbit Guardian leaderboard. Game Center is operated by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. We don't receive your Apple ID email or contact details.
| Service | Purpose | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | In-app ads (banner, interstitial, rewarded & app-open ads) | Link |
| Google Firebase Analytics | Gameplay balance telemetry & aggregate app metrics | Link |
| Firebase Crashlytics (Google) | Crash diagnostics & stability reporting | Link |
| Apple Game Center | Leaderboards & achievement synchronization | Link |
4. How We Use Information
We use the information described above only to:
- Run the game and remember your progress (on your device)
- Show ads that keep the game free, and reward you when you choose to watch one
- Understand which missions and features players enjoy, and improve difficulty and balance
- Find and fix crashes and bugs
- Show leaderboards
We don't use your information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
5. Sharing
We don't sell or rent personal information. Information is shared only with the service providers listed in Section 3 (Google and Apple), for the purposes described, or when required by law.
6. Your Choices
- Ads personalization: On iOS you can limit ad tracking in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and limit Apple's personalized ads in Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
- Sound and haptics: You can turn them off in the game's Settings.
- Game Center: You can sign out of Game Center in iOS Settings at any time.
- Delete your data: Deleting the app removes all locally stored progress. To ask us to delete analytics or crash data associated with your device, contact us at the address below with your request.
7. Children
Orbit Guardian is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
8. Data Retention
- On-device data is kept until you delete the app.
- Analytics and crash data are kept by Google for the periods set in our Firebase and AdMob settings and under Google's retention policies, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
9. Security
The game doesn't collect passwords or payment information. Data sent to Google and Apple travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
10. Your Rights (EEA, UK, California and other regions)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to processing, and to data portability. California residents may ask what categories of personal information are collected and request deletion; we don't sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under California law. To make a request, contact us at the address below. We'll respond within the time required by applicable law.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the game changes. We'll post the new version at this address and update the effective date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes.
